1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Rigel Corp, doing business as Tech Rigel Corp (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use Rigel Ledger on Android.
Rigel Ledger is a business record-keeping tool for parties, cash movements, expenses, invoices, and reports.
2. Account information
When you create or use an account, we process your email address, display name, authentication-provider details, and account identifier to authenticate you, protect your account, and associate your business records with your account. The app supports email-and-password accounts and Google Sign-In.
3. Business records
We process the business information you enter, which may include business details, party names and contact details, ledger notes, cash entries, expenses, invoices, invoice customers, balances, and report data. These records are used to provide the app’s bookkeeping features and synchronize your workspace.
4. Device contacts
Rigel Ledger requests device-contact access only when you choose to import a contact. Contact access is not requested during startup. A contact is retained in the app only when you save the imported details as a party or invoice customer.
5. Local data and offline use
The app may keep preferences, appearance settings, security settings, temporary export files, and pending offline changes on your device. Offline records remain on the device until they synchronize or are removed through the app or device controls.
6. How information is used
- Authenticate and manage your account
- Store, calculate, search, filter, and synchronize business records
- Create requested invoices, statements, receipts, reports, and exports
- Provide support, security, deletion, and account-recovery functions
7. Services and sharing
We use Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to provide account access and synchronized records. Google Sign-In may process information when you choose that sign-in method. The device contact provider is used only when you request contact import.
We do not sell your information. The current build does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not intentionally send financial amounts, party names, or ledger notes to analytics services.
When you export a file and choose another app from the Android share sheet, that app receives the file and its own privacy policy applies.
8. Storage and security
Data sent between the app and its services is encrypted in transit. Firestore records are protected by authenticated, owner-scoped access rules. PIN or biometric protection can be enabled on the device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
9. Retention and deletion
Account and business records are retained while you use the service. You can delete individual records or request a data reset or account deletion from the app’s Settings screen.
See the dedicated Rigel Ledger data-deletion instructions for the confirmation-email flow. Deletion requests may require reasonable verification and completion time. Some information may be retained where required by law or for security, dispute resolution, backups, or audit obligations.
10. Children
Rigel Ledger is a business record-keeping tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective and updated dates will be maintained on this page.
