Rigel Video Suite Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Rigel, doing business as Tech Rigel (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Rigel Video Suite mobile application on Android (package com.techrigel.rigelvideosuite).

Rigel Video Suite provides on-device mobile video and media utilities. Media processing is performed on the user’s device. This policy describes what the app does and does not send to us and to Google/Firebase.

2. Files and media processed by the app

Rigel Video Suite processes selected media on the user’s device using FFmpeg. Selected videos, audio, images, subtitle files, watermark images, and generated outputs are not uploaded to us or to Firebase for media processing.

On some Android devices, a selected file may be copied temporarily from an operating-system content provider into app-private temporary storage so it can be processed. Temporary copies are removed by the app or by the operating system according to standard Android storage behavior.

When users choose to save an output to their gallery or share it through the operating-system share sheet, the operating system and any third-party destination selected by the user handle that action under their own terms and privacy practices.

3. Information stored locally on the device

Rigel Video Suite may store the following information in app-private storage on the device to provide project, recent-file, resume, and workflow functionality:

• Project records and workflow presets
• Recent-file references and output history
• File names, local file paths, file sizes, and timestamps
• Operation settings and workflow configuration

This information is stored locally and is not intentionally transmitted to us. Users can remove supported records and outputs through the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes app-private records. Files saved to shared storage or a gallery may remain until the user deletes them separately.

4. Analytics information

Rigel Video Suite uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand basic app usage and to improve reliability and feature design.

Analytics events currently logged: app opens and the names of tools opened.

Depending on Firebase SDK behavior and device configuration, Google Analytics for Firebase may also process:

• App-instance or installation identifiers
• App version
• Device model and operating-system information
• Language and general region
• Technical interaction information

We do not intentionally include users’ media contents, file names, local file paths, project names, subtitle text, watermark text, or generated outputs in Analytics events.

Analytics data is used for product analytics, service improvement, security, and measurement. It is not used by us for cross-app advertising tracking. Analytics information is retained according to our configured Google Analytics retention setting, currently 14 months (Google Analytics default; confirm final Firebase console setting), subject to Google’s handling of aggregated reports and legally required retention.

5. Push notifications

Rigel Video Suite uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver optional notifications such as app updates, testing notices, operational messages, and reminders to open or use the app.

Firebase Cloud Messaging may process the following to provide the service:

• An app-installation identifier or registration token
• App version
• Device and operating-system metadata
• Notification delivery and interaction information

Notification permission is optional. Users may decline the permission or disable notifications at any time through device settings. Disabling notifications does not disable the app’s core local media-processing tools.

6. Permissions

Rigel Video Suite may request the following permissions, each used only for the related app function:

• Media / video / audio / image access — to let the user select media through the operating-system picker.
• Legacy storage access (older Android versions) — where required to open user-selected files.
• Notification permission — optional; used only for the FCM messages described above.
• Foreground media-processing service — to keep long-running FFmpeg processing reliable while the user is aware it is running.

Users can manage permissions through operating-system settings. Denying a permission may prevent the corresponding optional feature from working, but core local processing remains available where the operating system allows it.

7. Website and connection information

When users visit this website or related policy pages, hosting, CDN, security, and network providers may process standard connection information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, referring pages, timestamps, and security events. We use this information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the website. Website analytics and cookie behavior are described in the site Cookie Policy.

8. Contact and support information

If users contact us, we process the information they voluntarily provide, such as name, email address, message content, and attachments, to respond, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain support records. Please do not submit confidential media, passwords, FCM tokens, private keys, or government identification unless requested through an approved support channel.

9. Service providers

We use service providers that process limited information on our behalf, including:

• Google LLC — Firebase Analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Website hosting and CDN providers — used to deliver this website.

We do not authorize service providers to use users’ local media files for their own advertising, and we do not intentionally upload those files to them.

10. Selling, sharing, and tracking

We do not currently sell personal information. Rigel Video Suite does not currently contain third-party advertising SDKs and does not use information for cross-app targeted advertising. If advertising or materially different data practices are introduced later, we will update this Policy, the Google Play Data Safety disclosure, in-app consent flows, and the site Advertising Disclosure before enabling them.

11. Data retention

App-private project and recent-file information is retained locally until users delete it where supported, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Shared or gallery outputs remain until users delete them. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Firebase information is retained according to our Firebase / Google Analytics configuration and Google’s applicable retention practices.

12. Data deletion and privacy choices

Because Rigel Video Suite has no user accounts, there is no account-deletion process. Users can:

• Delete local projects, recent-file entries, presets, and outputs through available app controls.
• Clear the app’s storage in device settings.
• Uninstall the app.
• Disable notifications.

Requests must include enough information for us to identify responsive records without asking for unnecessary sensitive information. Some aggregated, de-identified, security, backup, or legally required information may not be removable immediately.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the app. Firebase states that covered data is encrypted in transit, and applicable Firebase services provide encryption at rest. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Users should keep backups of important original files before running any media conversion.

14. International processing

Google, Firebase, and website infrastructure providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and provider contractual protections offered by those providers.

15. Children

Rigel Video Suite is a general-purpose file utility and is not directed specifically to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age applicable in their country. We do not knowingly request names, contact details, or accounts from children through Rigel Video Suite. 16. Regional privacy rights

Depending on location, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. 17. Changes

We may update this Policy when features, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will post the revised date at the top of this Policy and provide additional notice where required.
