1. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you use Rigel Video Suite on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Service description
Rigel Video Suite is an on-device video and media utility for Android. Supported formats, processing performance, output quality, and availability vary by device, operating-system version, codec support, source file, and settings. Features and behavior may change between releases.
3. Your files remain your responsibility
We do not claim ownership of your files or the outputs you generate. You must own or have permission to process, edit, convert, subtitle, watermark, merge, distribute, or share the media you select.
4. Prohibited use
- Unlawful, infringing, abusive, malicious, deceptive, or privacy-invasive processing or distribution
- Circumventing security, access controls, or licensing of third-party content
- Disrupting the app, its updates, or the services it relies on
- Processing content that violates law or third-party rights in the user’s jurisdiction
5. Keep backups and verify outputs
Media processing can fail, stop, alter metadata, change quality, increase file size, or produce incompatible outputs. Retain your original files and verify each output before deleting the original, publishing, filing, delivering, or otherwise relying on it.
6. Local processing and device resources
On-device processing can consume CPU, battery, memory, storage, and time. The app may display a foreground processing notification while a long-running operation is active, in accordance with Android platform requirements.
7. Permissions and third-party destinations
Operating-system pickers, gallery, storage, and share destinations are controlled by the platform or by the third-party app you select. Their behavior, terms, and privacy practices apply to what happens after you share or save an output.
8. Intellectual property
Rigel Video Suite branding, original UI, original content, and non-open-source code belong to Tech Rigel or its licensors. Your ownership of the files you select is unaffected.
9. Open-source carve-out
The restrictions in these Terms do not override rights granted to you by applicable open-source licenses that apply to components distributed with the app, and they do not override rights that cannot legally be restricted (for example, certain reverse-engineering rights required by law). See the Open-Source Notices page.
10. Feedback
If you voluntarily submit product feedback, you grant Tech Rigel a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve the app, without any obligation to identify you or to reveal confidential user content.
11. Updates and changes
Features, SDKs, supported formats, limits, and policies can change. Material changes to these Terms will receive notice where required by applicable law or store rules.
12. Suspension and termination
Access to any online components that support the app may be limited to address abuse or legal or security concerns. You may end your local use of the app at any time by uninstalling it.
13. Third-party services and open-source software
Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play, operating-system services, hosting and CDN services, FFmpeg, and Flutter packages are governed by their own separate terms and licenses. Please consult them as applicable.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rigel Video Suite and its outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to disclaim consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tech Rigel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising out of or related to Rigel Video Suite. Any direct-liability cap must be reviewed for [governing law and jurisdiction — to be confirmed] before publication of a numeric figure; we do not state one here. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
16. Indemnity
Where enforceable under applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify Tech Rigel against third-party claims caused by unlawful content you processed, unlawful use of the app, or your breach of these Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by [governing law and jurisdiction — to be confirmed], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your place of residence. We do not impose mandatory arbitration or class-action waivers in this draft.
18. Severability, waiver, assignment, entire agreement, contact
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. These Terms constitute the entire agreement about the app between you and Tech Rigel and supersede prior communications about the same subject. Questions: [support email — to be confirmed].
